The Challenge

Design a cohesive product experience across three distinct platforms—native banking apps, web platforms, and third-party links—while maintaining consistency, usability, and trust. The experience also needed to account for dependencies on external merchants and handle potential failures without degrading the user journey.

Project Constraints

  • Three platform variations requiring a unified experience
  • Heavy reliance on third-party merchant integrations
  • High-stakes product central to business growth
  • Multiple stakeholders with differing priorities
  • Limited resources with a single designer across the project

The Process

Audit, SWOT & Problem Framing

Evaluated existing product gaps, user friction points, and business objectives to define a clear problem space and success criteria.

Project Roadmap Development

Established timelines, priorities, and feature rollouts while aligning stakeholders across product, engineering, and leadership.

Wireframing & Experience Design

Designed intuitive user flows that simplified complex processes and accounted for edge cases across platforms.

Visual Design & Systemization

Developed a cohesive visual language and laid the foundation for the “Endevour” design system, ensuring consistency and scalability.

Implementation & Iteration

Collaborated closely with developers to bring the product to life, iterating based on feedback and real-world constraints.

Outcome

  • Delivered a unified, cross-platform product experience
  • Reduced user friction in a complex, multi-step process
  • Strengthened product value for financial institution partners
  • Established a scalable design system for future products
  • Enabled more consistent and efficient product development

Reflection

This project highlighted the importance of designing for complexity behind the scenes while maintaining simplicity for the user. Balancing multiple platforms, stakeholders, and external dependencies required a structured, systems-driven approach.

It also reinforced the impact of design as a driver of product value—creating experiences that not only function well, but support long-term growth.
